When hanging art in a space there are a few rules I like to keep in mind:

1. Keep a consistent color palette

2. Fill the space, but don't overwhelm it

3. Hang art that makes you smile

For our living room art I chose a palette of pastels including yellow, peach, green, and grey. I've also mixed in my husband's photography print and a painting of Michigan on wood that we made together. Because these other pieces are black and white they fit in just fine with the colorful paintings. As far as balance goes, I placed the largest painting on the biggest wall and centered it above the couch. The other two large paintings fill out the space. And last but not least, having these pieces on my walls brightens my day!

Hope you enjoyed a peek into our home!
