SPRING FORMS: Studies in color and composition

This series came about with a large abstract painting that is very dear to my heart. Reason being is that I painted it for my daughter’s room, who is due this spring. When I was expecting my first daughter Rose I created a special painting for her nursery. This has remained a special piece between her and I. To keep this sweet tradition going I created the large abstract for my second daughter’s room inspired by my feelings for my spring girl. I fell in love with the colors and composition and created an outpouring of additional pieces for this series of Spring Forms.

Abstract paintings, inspired by the quiet transformation of spring. Each piece explores the interplay of shape, space, and seasonal color-capturing moments of emergence, growth, and balance. Minimalist in approach yet rich in tone, the series invites viewers into a softened, abstracted experience of the natural world. The pieces are created with acrylic paint and expressive charcoal markings on thick cotton paper with hand-torn deckled edges and thoughtfully placed in a contemporary style frame.
